Concept in Development — Professional Evaluation Requested
CLARITY WHEN IT MATTERS.
Rapid-Deployment Visual Marking for Emergency Response.
Swift Stick is an emerging high-visibility marking concept designed to explore how responders can communicate doorway and access-point status with minimal handling and clear visual indicators.
SECURE. IDENTIFY. CONFIRM.

Complex Environments. Limited Attention.
Potential workflow challenges in large facilities. These are questions worth exploring, not verified problems at any specific agency.
Illustrative architectural diagram. Select a doorway to see its note.
- Numerous rooms and access points
- Multiple personnel operating in the same building
- Changing access conditions
- Difficulty communicating temporary doorway status
- The need for clear, standardized visual information
- Limited time for interpreting complex markings
A Visible Signal. A Simpler Interaction.
Swift Stick is being designed around a simple retrieval and application process intended to reduce unnecessary handling.
Its larger, high-contrast format is intended to make the marker noticeable from a distance.
A proposed center breakaway and future VOID-indicating mechanism could provide visible evidence that a marked doorway has been disturbed.
Standardized appearance and placement could support clearer communication when paired with established agency procedures.
Swift Stick does not independently verify whether a room is clear, safe, or occupied.
How It Is Intended to Work.

Engineered for Simplicity.
Current engineering direction: the V1-03 printed prototype and the planned V1-04 revision.
Present in the V1-03 printed prototype
- Overall dimensions: 65 × 120 mm
- Main prototype thickness: 1.6 mm
- Integrated pull tab
- Center breakaway geometry
- 4 mm perforation slots
- 2 mm connecting bridges
Only an initial manual fracture test of the breakaway geometry has been completed.
Design direction
- High-contrast red and black body
- White alignment indicator under development (V1-04 concept)

- Two-zone adhesive layout
- Continuous release liner
- Exploratory VOID indicator
- Visibility
- Glove-Friendly Handling
- Repeatable Placement
- Clear Visual Indication
- Low-Complexity Operation
Exploring Applications Across Public Safety.
- Large Facility Emergency Response
Exploratory visual doorway-status marking in complex facilities such as hospitals, schools, and commercial buildings.
- Training Environments
Evaluating visual marker recognition, placement consistency, and workflow compatibility during controlled exercises.
- Temporary Access Monitoring
Indicating possible interference with previously marked doorways or restricted access points.
- Facility Security Coordination
Supporting temporary visual marking protocols for authorized security personnel.
- Post-Incident Area Management
Potentially providing supplemental visual evidence of doorway interference, subject to documentation requirements.
Swift Stick is not appropriate for deployment in active incidents without agency evaluation. This page provides no tactical guidance.
Designed Around Questions Worth Testing.
- Completed observationInitial manual fracture test
The V1-03 3D-printed prototype separated cleanly along its intended center perforation. This is a preliminary observation, not proof of real-world performance.
